DREAM.GROW.SUCCEED. November is all about LOOKING AHEAD!
Big dreams start with opportunities. ❤️This month, our Dream to Succeed students are looking toward the future through college exploration, goal setting, financial aid education, community engagement, and conversations about what comes next.
🎓 Dreaming Bigger at UW-Madison
Dream-to-Succeed students from West Bend, Kewaskum, and Hartford high schools recently stepped onto the UW-Madison campus to experience college life firsthand. Students explored classrooms, residence halls, research facilities, the Wisconsin School of Business, and other campus resources while learning about admissions, scholarships, majors, and career pathways.
More than just a campus tour, the experience gave students a glimpse into what their futures could look like and encouraged them to dream bigger, explore new possibilities, and see themselves as future college students.
📚 Help a Student Succeed
One hour can make a difference.
We're looking for volunteer tutors for Homework Help at the West Bend Library on Tuesdays from 4:00–5:00 PM.
Work one-on-one with local students, help with assignments, and give them something equally important: confidence.
Need Homework Help?
Homework Help is free for families, with limited availability for students in grades 1–12.
🗣️ Voices That Matter
This month's Dream to Succeed guest speakers are the League of Women Voters of Ozaukee & Washington Counties.
Students in West Bend and Hartford will learn about the importance of voting and how young people can make their voices heard. Kewaskum High School is scheduled for a visit in April.
⭐ DREAM SUCCESS STORY
From Dream Student to Community Leader
Meet Brian Cosio.
Brian once wasn't sure where his path after Hartford High School would take him. Dream to Succeed helped him recognize something much more important: his potential.
He went on to earn an Associate Degree in Business Management from Moraine Park Technical College followed by a degree in Business Administration from UW-Milwaukee.
Today, Brian is Branch Manager of Forte Bank's Hartford branch. Even better, he recently returned to speak with local students and share his career journey and practical financial literacy skills.
"I wasn't the strongest student in high school, but the Dream-to-Succeed program helped me recognize my potential and motivated me to work hard to achieve my goals."
-Brian Cosio
That's Dream to Succeed coming full circle. ❤️
💙 Every Dream Needs Someone Who Believes in It
Dream to Succeed helps local students explore what's possible, build confidence, set goals, and prepare for life after high school.
