Health Education and Resources

Supporting lifelong wellness through accessible education and resources

Health Fairs

We are committed to hosting at least three health fairs each year, including one presented alongside our annual community resource fair. These meaningful events are made possible through our strong and enduring partnerships with local health organizations.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Aurora Health Care, Froedtert & MCW, Lakeshore Community Health Center, and Complete Mobile Health for their ongoing collaboration and support. We also thank Network Health for generously sponsoring last year’s event.

We are equally grateful to the many community organizations that participate in our resource fairs. By sharing your services, expertise, and time, you help ensure that families throughout our community are aware of the valuable resources available to them—and the remarkable work being done on their behalf.

Health Education Classes

Casa Guadalupe’s Community Health Educator (CHE) works closely with partner agencies to deliver educational courses that strengthen the health and well‑being of the families we serve. In recent years, these offerings have included Healthy Habits classes, cancer‑prevention education in collaboration with the American Cancer Society through the Kohl’s Healthy Families Grant, cancer screenings (including breast, prostate, and more), and workshops focused on understanding different types of cancer. Our efforts have also emphasized promoting healthy lifestyles to help prevent chronic conditions and support long-term wellness.

Looking ahead to 2026, our CHE is excited to center programming around Healthy Families. This initiative will begin with Safe Sleep courses, offered in partnership with Froedtert & MCW and Seed of Hope. Additional classes through the Triple P Program will equip parents and caregivers with essential parenting skills, positive behavior strategies, and tools to foster strong, nurturing family dynamics.

We are proud to continue offering these meaningful educational opportunities so that our families have the knowledge and support they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Community Resources

Our Community Health Educator (CHE), together with our dedicated healthcare volunteer assistant, plays an essential role in supporting families throughout their health and wellness journeys. Through a valued partnership with the Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging (WIHA), our Health Educators are able to offer two highly impactful programs: Pisando Fuerte (Stepping On) and Gente Fuerte (Strong People).

These evidence‑based programs empower participants to build strength, improve balance, and adopt healthy, sustainable habits that enhance overall quality of life.

For more information about these programs, to enroll in our upcoming sessions, or learn more about please contact our Community Health Educator below.

Youth Health & Wellness

At Casa Guadalupe, we believe that staying active should be fun, empowering, and accessible for every child. Our Youth Fitness programs are designed to help young people build healthy habits, gain confidence, and discover the joy of movement in a supportive and uplifting environment.

Through dynamic fitness classes, teamwork‑based activities, and wellness education, participants learn the importance of physical activity while developing strength, coordination, and a positive relationship with their health. Guided by caring instructors and supported by community partners, our youth experience fitness in a way that feels encouraging, engaging, and exciting.

Whether they’re jumping, stretching, learning new skills, or simply having fun with friends, our programs help kids grow strong—inside and out.

We are proud to continue offering these meaningful educational opportunities so that our families have the knowledge and support they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
