Building Stronger Students Through Community Collaboration

At Casa Guadalupe Multicultural Center, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed—and sometimes, success begins with someone there to answer a question, explain a difficult concept, or offer encouragement when schoolwork gets challenging.

That belief is behind a new collaboration between Casa Guadalupe and the West Bend Community Memorial Library to provide free weekly homework help for local elementary through high school students. Beginning this fall, Casa Guadalupe volunteers will meet with students at the library to provide additional academic support in a welcoming environment dedicated to learning.

The partnership reflects something both organizations value: education extends beyond the classroom. Libraries, families, volunteers, educators, and community organizations can all help give young people the tools and confidence they need to grow.

For Casa Guadalupe, helping a student complete tonight’s homework is only part of the goal. We want students to build confidence in their abilities, know that asking for help is okay, and recognize that a community around them wants to see them succeed.

We are grateful to the West Bend Community Memorial Library for opening its doors to this collaboration and sharing our commitment to education. When we invest our time and resources in students today, we help prepare them for tomorrow's opportunities. ❤️📚
